These are mainly posts on the depiction of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment in popular culture and current affairs – I’m not offering a thesis and these are more thoughts as they occur to me so apologies if they ramble a bit.

Disclaimer: spoilers of course, and these aren’t really offering anything new in terms of scholarship, but they illustrate perhaps what a historian of psychiatry (with a rather underdeveloped interest in film and media studies who moonlights occasionally teaching philosophy) thinks about pop cultural depictions of clinical diagnosis and treatment.
